NOTE: According to the prophet Jeremiah (Jer. 22:28-30) no descendent of Jehoiachin would ever prosper “reigning on David’s throne.”
The Messiah must be born to a virgin descendent of David, not descended from Jehoiachin, who would marry (before the birth of her son) a man descended from David’s royal line through Solomon (to give her son a legal claim to the throne of David).
NOTE: The Temple in Jerusalem, with all of the written records proving ancestry, was destroyed in 70CE. Messiah must therefore appear before that record was destroyed.
NOTE: In order to become king, Yeshua would need to be Joseph’s first born son. This precludes Joseph already having sons prior to his marriage to Mary. The New Testament does refer to “brothers” of Yeshua, suggesting that Mary did have more children, following the birth of Yeshua (Luke 8:19-20).
